New Keystone Releases 2.5.9 (5/14/2012)

Backup Your Data!!!
Please do yourself a favor and make sure you are properly backing up your data!!!!
Recently we've come across sites with hardware problems, and found that proper backup procedures have been lacking.
NO, that nightly backup your hardware vendor setup is not going to save you!
Unfortunately that fancy nightly backup system your IT specialist setup is not an effective way to backup the Keystone database. The problem with a database is that it's a large file that can be constantly changing. Automated backups (besides Keystone's automated backup) attempt to copy the whole file, but this can lead to a corrupt copy. (It's kind of like trying to take a picture of a fast moving object).
Keystone backup is easy
See Keystone Database Backup for instructions on creating backups. Also see Quick Backup to USB Flash Drive.
Make sure to take advantage of the Automated Backup capabilities built into Keystone. This tool, which can be configured by GivenHansco support, will create automatic backups at a daily scheduled time.
Remember that Keystone Backups can be done any time of day without adversely affecting anyone else on the system.
What's New
Version 2.5 Key Changes
Keystone 2.5 is a required upgrade for all payroll and AP 2011 year end updates. It includes significant changes to the installation and upgrade process which will improve security and the ease of future upgrades.
- Updated to tightly follow the Windows 7 software specifications
- Relocation of configuration and dynamic created files to user or system "data" locations.
- Software vendor certification - assures you are installing software from GivenHansco.
- Improved upgrade/installation routine will make future upgrades easier.
